Credit Controller
 
Location: Tamworth (B79)

Hours & Salary: £28,000 – £30,000 – Monday to Friday 9AM-5PM
  
We are working with a well‑established business based in Tamworth who are seeking a proactive and detail‑driven Credit Controller to support their finance operations.
  
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone experienced in credit control who enjoys a varied workload and can confidently manage customer accounts, reconciliations, and month‑end processes.
  
Key Responsibilities Daily / Ad Hoc Duties:

  • Post-close reconciliation of bank payments
  • Raise invoices once orders are confirmed by the admin team
  • Import invoices into SAGE from ProfIT
  • Upload OSMO to the client’s portal
  • Draw down available cash and update availability
  • Chase overdue debt and confirm outstanding balances
  • Update expired credit limits using Creditsafe / Atradius
  • Convert held sales orders in ProfIT
  • Request remittance advice for unallocated payments
  • Save and file customer remittances
  • Activate new customer accounts
  • Obtain credit limits for new/prospective customers
  • Manage invoice queries, liaising with Admin/Sales/Quality teams and customers

Month-End Duties:

  • ProfIT-to-SAGE invoice reconciliation
  • Full bank reconciliations for GBP, EUR and USD accounts
  • Provide a full list of raised credit notes
  • Send updated Atradius credit limit listings
  • Complete Belgium Intrastat submissions

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or similar
  • Strong working knowledge of SAGE
  • Familiarity with credit checking systems (Creditsafe/Atradius)
  • Excellent communication and customer‑handling skills
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload efficiently
