Location: Tamworth
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday, flexible working hours)
Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 per annum

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage our clients financial operations, ensuring compliance and efficiency. You will play a key role in financial planning, reporting, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function.
 
Your day to day responsibilities will include:

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Overseeing and managing daily financial transactions.
  • Producing monthly management accounts and financial reports.
  • Ensuring accurate and timely month-end and year-end close processes.
  • Supporting external audits and liaising with auditors.

Cash Flow & Forecasting

  • Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure financial stability.
  • Preparing financial forecasts, budgets, and variance analysis.
  • Advising on financial risks and mitigation strategies.

Accounts Payable & Receivable

  • Managing supplier payments and invoicing processes.
  • Ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Reviewing and reconciling bank statements and transactions.

Multi-Currency Accounting

  • Handling foreign currency transactions and reconciliations.
  • Managing exchange rate fluctuations and their impact on financial statements.

Tax & Compliance

  • Ensuring VAT, PAYE, and corporation tax compliance.
  • Keeping up to date with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate financial records in line with HMRC and industry standards.

Process Improvement & System Management

  • Identifying areas for process improvement and implementing financial controls.
  • Working with accounting software and ensuring data accuracy.
What We’re Looking For Essential Requirements:

  • AAT Level 4 / ACCA Qualified
  • Minimum of 5 years of industrial accounting experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
