Location: North West (Manchester to Kendal)
Salary: £55,000-£65,000 + package

About the Company Club Connective is representing a long‑established North West building services contractor with more than 190 employees and a turnover exceeding £45M. The business delivers Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) projects across sectors including commercial, healthcare, aerospace, education and local government.

They are now looking to appoint an experienced Mechanical Contracts Manager to support continued project growth across the region.

About the Role – Contracts Manager (Mechanical) This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Contracts Manager who wants to lead high‑quality M&E projects valued up to £4M.
You’ll be responsible for managing multiple mechanical projects across the North West, ensuring they are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage mechanical building services projects from start to completion
  • Plan and procure labour, materials and subcontractor packages
  • Oversee financial control including valuations, variations and cost reporting
  • Conduct site progress reviews and attend client meetings
  • Ensure project quality, compliance and health & safety standards
  • Provide technical guidance to operatives and junior team members
  • Build strong client relationships and support future business opportunities

What We’re Looking For To succeed in this Mechanical Contracts Manager role, you will need:

  • Proven experience as a Mechanical Contracts Manager or similar role within an M&E contractor
  • Minimum NVQ Level 3 HVAC or HNC/ONC in Building Services
  • At least 3 years’ experience managing mechanical building services projects
  • Strong technical knowledge of commercial MEP projects
  • Proficient IT skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Valid CSCS card
  • SMSTS (preferred – training can be refreshed if expired)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Based between Manchester and Kendal, with ability to travel to local sites
