HVAC & Gas Engineer
Location: Belfast, Northern Ireland (Mobile Role)
Hours: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Salary: OTE £65,000K – £45,000 – £55,000 basic rate (Based on experience)
Company Vehicle & Fuel Card Provided
About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced HVAC & Gas Engineer to join one of the country’s leading facilities management companies. This is a mobile role, covering sites across Belfast and surrounding areas, carrying out service, maintenance, and repairs on a range of commercial heating and HVAC systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple sites
- First-line maintenance and troubleshooting of commercial heating systems
- Servicing and repairing mechanical HVAC equipment, including boilers, fans, pumps, AHUs, and FCUs
- Ensuring all technical and compliance paperwork is completed and up to date
- Carrying out surveys and producing reports as required by management
- Ensuring safe working practices, particularly regarding 3-phase and single-phase electrical systems
The Ideal Candidate
✔ Previous experience in a similar mobile HVAC & Gas Engineer role
✔ Strong mechanical HVAC knowledge (pumps, motors, etc.)
✔ Ability to deal directly with customers and site management teams
✔ Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces
✔ A hands-on, can-do attitude with flexibility to meet the needs of the business
Qualifications / Experience
Essential:
- ACS Commercial Gas Certificates (COCN, CIGA, CORT, ICPN, CDGA, TPCP1, TPCP1A)
- City & Guilds 2079 F-Gas Category 1
- Full UK Driving Licence – required for mobile role.
Desirable (Not Essential):
- City & Guilds 17th or 18th Edition
