Shifts Available: Days and Nights (05/04/25 – 06/04/25)
Salary: Competitive rates from £12.33 to £19.58 per hour (depending on qualifications held)

The Job Role
As a Traffic Management Operative, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic management systems. Your daily duties will include:

  • Receive and follow a detailed briefing from the Lead Operative before starting.
  • Understand and implement safety procedures and risk assessments before leaving the yard
  • Safely load and secure equipment onto TMIVs in accordance with regulations for transport
  • Ensure all operatives are equipped with the correct PPE and necessary tools for the task
  • Liaise with clients on-site to ensure high standards of service and maintain a positive company image
    Install, maintain, and remove traffic management systems as directed by the Lead Operative or Contracts Department
  • Record and report any changes to planned activities promptly to the operations department
  • Supervise and provide instruction to less experienced operatives as required
  • Keep all paperwork accurate and up to date, ensuring it is signed and returned to the contracts department on time
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment are returned to their designated places and left clean and tidy after each shift
  • Report any losses or damage to equipment immediately to the contracts department
  • Assist with yard duties as requested by management

Essential Requirements (Valid certification in any of the following):

  • TTMBC
  • T1/T2
  • M1/M2
  • M5
  • 12AB Operative
  • 12A TMF or 12B LTMO
  • 12AB IPV  
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including night shifts
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety protocols
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Experience

  • Previous experience in a similar traffic management role
  • Understanding of compliance with traffic management legislation
  • Supervisory experience with on-site teams
